SALON RULES

No children under 16 are permitted in the salon unless they are having a treatment. This is for insurance purposes.

Children under 18 must have parental consent (signature provided upon consultation) before any treatments can be carried out.

Children under 18 having a treatment must always be accompanied by an Adult. The guardian must not leave the salon during the treatment.

We appreciate if mobile devices could be turned off or on silent to avoid disturbances.

We have a zero tolerance approach to abuse to staff or other customers.

Treatments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may still be charged at full price.

If you have booked a pedicure, please ensure that you bring flip flops with you.
Note that our therapists will not work on any nail that is believed to be contra-indicated (e.g. fungal nail disease, ingrown nails).

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEL POLISH AND NORMAL POLISH?

Normal polish (lacquer) is painted onto the nails and takes at least two hours to dry. During this drying period, you will have to be careful not to smudge the varnish.

Gel varnish (Shellac, Bio Sculpture, OPI Gel) gives a high shine, instantly dry finish to the nail. This finish lasts for up to two weeks and will have to be removed professionally by us.

A patch test must be carried out at least 24-48 hours before treatment.

A consultation on colour will be carried out by your therapist upon treatment and will help you make the right decision.

Bride to be? Please ensure you have your tan at least 2 days before the big day to avoid any colour transfer to the dress. A trial run is optional.

PREPARATION BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

It is preferable not to apply any type of perfume, deodorant or aromatherapy oils on the day of your treatment as these may reduce the results.

Waxing or shaving should be completed at least 24 hours prior to the treatment to reduce sensitivity. For laser hair removal please seek advice from your practitioner.

For Spray Tanning, the evening your treatment, exfoliate your entire body using St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Polish. Pay special attention to dry areas of your body such as hands, elbows, knees and feet.

Wear dark, loose fitting clothing as not to disturb the tan when getting dressed. Please be aware the guide colour can stain light hair, man-made fibres and wool.

THE TREATMENT

Spray Tan Application – Approximately 15 minutes. After selecting the appropriate St.Tropez Bronzing Mist, available in Classic  and new Express you will receive a professional full body spray application. The Bronzing Mist will dry on your skin in just a few minutes so you can dress straight after the treatment.

AFTER TREATMENT ADVICE

Your tan will begin to develop immediately after your treatment.

Do not shower or bathe for a minimum of 8 hours after your treatment.

During the development time, do not participate any activity which may cause perspiration.

It is fine to leave the guide colour on overnight and wash in the morning.

Some guide colour may transfer to bed linen. This will wash out of cotton but not so easily from man-made fibres or wool.

TAN MAINTENANCE TIP

With the correct aftercare your tan can last longer, apply St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Moisturiser daily to hydrate your skin and maintain your tan for longer.

Exfoliate your skin with St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Polish every 3 days to ensure your tan fades evenly.

Do not rub, but pat your skin dry after showering or bathing.

Avoid swimming pools as chlorine can bleach the skin, so your tan will fade faster.

One of the biggest appeals of LVL is that is requires little to no upkeep. However, the first 48 hours post-treatment do require a little bit of TLC and special attention, to ensure you get the maximum results from your lashes. Following the correct aftercare is important, as your lashes are still getting used to their new shape, and failure to do so could lead to an adverse reaction.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

A patch test must be completed 48 hours before treatment. Patch test card must be filled in at home and handed back on day of appointment failure to do so may result in our therapists being unable to complete treatment.

NO MASCARA

NO OILS/MOSTURISERS

NO CONTACT LENSES

SHOWERS, SAUNAS AND SUNBEDS

After this time period you can shower, but avoid submerging your head and face fully in the bath or directly under the shower head. Completely avoid visiting saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and sunbeds for 48 hours post treatment. The high temperature can cause your lashes to drop, or not last as long as they should, which is between 6 and 8 weeks.

MANIPULATING THE LASHES

As difficult as it can be sometimes, try to avoid touching or rubbing your eye area, especially when you are washing or cleansing your face. Eyelash curlers and perming equipment are also completely out of bounds, although once you see the results of your long, lifted natural lashes you will want to toss them in the bin anyway!

PILLOW TALK

Another thing to consider is how you sleep. Facing down into the pillow, or sleeping on one side could manipulate the shape of your lashes into different positions. If this sounds like you, try propping up your head with pillows, and making an effect to fall asleep on your back.

MAKE-UP AND MAINTENANCE

An LVL treatment includes a tinting stage, which helps to lengthen and create a thicker appearance in your natural lashes without the need for mascara. However, if you still choose to wear mascara, try and use one with a water-based formula, and avoid waterproof varieties. We also recommend to avoid all oil-based products, especially make-up remover. Remember to brush your lashes through with a clean mascara wand after getting them wet to ensure they dry naturally in their correct shape.

As well as following the tips we have shared above, we also suggest applying our Lash and Brow Conditioning Serum as part of your morning and evening skincare regimen. The new formula is packed full of nourishing goodness which promotes strong and healthy lashes, and even acts as a primer beneath your mascara.

WHAT IS MICROCURRENT?

Microcurrent therapy delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bioelectrical field. Microcurrent stimulation helps to re-educate the muscles and can lift, firm and tone. Microcurrent in aesthetics is ommonly descrived as “facial toning” or “non-surgical face lifting” due to the dramatic lifting effect that it has on facial muscles and contours.

WHAT IS S.P.E.D MICORCURRENT LED TECHNOLOGY?

S.P.E.D (Simultaneous Photo Electrical Delivery) microcurrent LED technology harnesses the power of the LED light therapy at the same time as using CACI microcurrent. The powerful, high brilliance LED uses pulsed and continuous wave lengths for enhances treatment results.

WHAT DOES MICROCURRENT FEEL LIKE?

Microcurrent treatment is virtually sub-sensory with just a slight tingling sensation. Customers often describe it as an energised or warm sensation on the skin and is virtually painless.

IS MICROCURRENT SAFE?

Yes. Microcurrent therapy was originally developed as a medical application to treat facial palsy and restore muscle tone by applying tiny microcurrent impulses to the affected muscles. Today this proven technology is now available in thousands of aesthetic clinics worldwide as a painless cosmetic treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS SHOULD I HAVE?

Although a remarkable difference is seen after the first treatment, the benefits of microcurrent are cumulative and typically a course of 10 – 15 treatments will be required for optimum results.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I HAVE FINISHED A COURSE OF TREATMENTS?

After a course of CACI Non-surgical Facial Toning treatments you will see real improvements in how your skin looks and feels. Your facial contours will look lifted and toned with a fresher, more youthful appearance. A monthly top up treatment is then recommended to maintain results.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I STOP TREATMENTS?

It’s just like going to the gym for a body workout. If you stop, the results will gradually diminish and your facial muscles may eventually return to how they were before treatments commenced.

WILL THERE BE ANY RECOVERY OR DOWNTIME AFTER MY TREATMENT?

No. CACI treatments are non-invasive and gentle on the skin so there is no interruption to your lifestyle.

WHAT IS ORBITAL MICRODERMABRASION?

Our unique crystal-free microdermabrasion offers a precise and controlled skin exfoliation. The procedure diminishes fine lines and imperfections to achieve a smoother, more radiant complexion. The treatment combines orbital skin resurfacing, which is unique in the market, with LED light therapy to provide a gentle peel for sensitive skin or a deeper peel for thicker, sun damaged skin.

WHAT DOES ORBITAL MICRODERMABRASION FEEL LIKE?

The treatment doesn’t hurt at all. We use a ‘no dragging’ and ‘no pulling’ technique on the skin and simultaneous vibrations to make the treatment very comfortable.

WHAT IS ULTRASONIC PEELING?

Our unique ultrasonic peeling handpiece rapidly vibrates on the skin (27,000 times per second) to gently exfoliate and revitalise. The vibrations draw skin impurities to the surfaces and dislodge dead skin cells revealing a healthy, glowing complexion. This is a more gentle alternative to orbital microdermabrasion.

WHAT IS LED LIGHT THERAPY?

LED Light Therapy utilises the therapeutic properties of red light and blue light to calm the skin, neutralise bacteria and reduce redness in order to help tackle acne, blemishes and scar tissue. Blue light calms the skin and destroys skin bacteria and red light stimulates new tissue growth ad cellular regeneration. Combined red and blue light is extremely effective in the treatment of acne and blemishes.

IN WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES IS TREATMENT NOT ADVISED?

* All forms of cancer
* Pregnancy
* Epilepsy
* Diabetes
* Heart condition/Cardiac pacemaker
* Thrombosis
* Facial implants (if treating face)
